CP 216 Ten ways to love others...

CP 216 TEN WAYS TO LOVE OTHERS

Hi friends. The basis for this CrossPurposes landed in my inbox, in shortened form, late last week. I took one look at it and thought, ‘It’s practical, valid and simple for me to expand’. (Holidays begin tomorrow so I’ll be off-line for a month.) Enjoy.

TEN WAYS TO LOVE OTHERS

Listen without interrupting...
“He who answers without listening, that is his folly and shame.” Proverbs 18:13
Speak without accusing...
My dear brothers, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry, for man’s anger does not bring about the righteous life that God desires.” James 1:19-20
Give without sparing…
“All day long he (the sluggard) craves for more, but the righteous give without sparing.” Proverbs 21:26
Pray without ceasing...
“From the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you and asking God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all spiritual wisdom and understanding.” Colossians 1:
Answer without arguing...
“He who loves a quarrel loves sin…” Proverbs 17:11
Witness without manipulation...
“Instead, speaking the truth in love…” Ephesians 4:15
Enjoy without complaining...
”Do everything without complaining or arguing.” Philippians 2:1
Trust without wavering...
”(Love) always trusts…” 1Corinthians 13:7
Forgive without punishing...
“Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another.” Colossians 3:13
Promise without forgetting...
“Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life.” Proverbs 13:12

People, folks, friends, let's set our minds on the things of the Spirit and do these things with the Cross heart of Jesus the Christ!

Have a good week

Fred
